Tara is a legal practitioner with 35 years’ experience with a passion for demystifying elder law and human rights for older South Australians. Currently the Director of the Aged Rights Advisory and Legal Advisory Legal Service (ARALS), she previously worked for the Legal Services Commission of South Australia (“The Commission”) for 22 years, represented the Commission at the Alliance for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (APEA), and established and managed the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT) Legal Representation Scheme. Tara also serves as a Board Director for Elder Abuse Action Australia (EAAA) and sits on both the Prescribed Psychiatric Treatment Panel and the Human Rights Coercion Reduction Committee.
