Julia Kittscha, ISLHD RN, BHSc (Nursing), Grad Cert STN, MN (Research), has been a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Stomal Therapy for 16 years. Her current role at Wollongong Hospital in NSW, Australia encompasses the acute setting, nurse led clinic, periphery hospitals and community. This also includes providing education for all levels of health professionals and community members who live with a stoma. During her career she has presented at national and international conferences. She has several journal publications and is a reviewer for the Journal of Stomal Therapy Australia. Previously she has been a tutor and writer for the Post Graduate Certificate in Stomal Therapy Nursing and currently is a preceptor for clinical placements. Her role within the Australian Association of Stomal Therapy Nurses includes State representation on the Education and Professional Development Committee. Julia has conducted research as part of a team and whilst completing her Masters by research. Her research experience is both quantitative and qualitative. She is passionate about Stomal Therapy Nursing and relishes sharing her skills to empower others.
