Aged Care Assistant Training Program

It is anticipated that the COVID-19 pandemic will place the aged care workforce under additional strain. Altura Learning has partnered with Leading Aged Care Services Australia (LASA) to create a workforce solution to support aged care organisations to continue to deliver high quality, safe care and services through the creation of the Aged Care Assistant Role.

This program aims to recruit, train and place large numbers of people who have been displaced from other sectors into aged care organisations.

“This is a dynamic and timely program that includes a workforce-ready, online training package to prepare Aged Care Assistants for the role in a short period,” explains Altura Learning CEO, Yvie Webley. “The training package will take up to 10 hours to complete and everyone undertaking the training will be individually assessed to ensure they can demonstrate adequate knowledge, aptitude and understanding of the role.”

“We will also be coordinating placement with aged care providers and will ensure every recruit is screened, has passed relevant background checks and has a police clearance”, said Ms Webley.
