This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Production and Education team to create high-quality learning experiences across a variety of platforms. Collaboration is a key part of this role, with both internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for a creative, experienced Nurse Educator who loves to research, write, and guide creative teams to produce engaging video and mixed media learning content.

Altura Learning is Australia’s premier content production company for the social care sector, predominantly residential aged care and home care. Based in Sydney, our production team produces original content and delivers it on our own platform to a membership base of approximately 175,000 learners, across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. We also produce a range of video and e-learning content for corporate and commercial clients.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be involved with all aspects of researching and writing learning content, including learning resources, and then briefing the production team. You will use your clinical and aged care experience to support the production team to bring the content to life, while ensuring the production follows best practice principles. You will also write some content for accredited training modules.
You have a proven track record in researching and writing educational content for a health and/or aged care audience, and you’re able to demonstrate an extremely high level of organisation, communication, attention to detail, and time management skills.
You are passionate about maintaining current knowledge of health and aged care issues. You’re a problem-solver with initiative and you have an interest in new learning technologies.
Other activities will include the maintenance of our extensive library of content, maintaining relationships with subject matter experts, preparing clinical props for film shoots, and providing clinical expertise on shoots.
You are committed to excellence in educational programming, you’re able to work to strict deadlines, and you want to share your enthusiasm and ideas, and contribute to a collaborative and mutually supportive team environment.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Australian Police check and must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
Salary package is negotiable, dependent upon experience.
Please note this is a full-time role based at our office in Belrose, NSW.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Registered Nurse with aged care experience
- Graduate qualifications in Education or Learning and Development
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Experience researching and writing content for the VET sector for health, aged care, and other topics.
- Proficient with LMS solutions and authoring tools, and the ability to adapt to new technology solutions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
- Demonstrated eye for detail
Desirable:
- Experience in home care or disability settings
- Experience working with video production teams
- Experience using LMS systems
